Vera Playa

Vera Playa gets its name from the town of Vera which is located in the eastern coastal region of Almeria in Andalusia southern Spain.

Playa is the Spanish word for beach. The stretch of coast that Vera Playa is located on is called the Costa de Almeria.

The beach is fairly coarse golden sand and stretches, unbroken, for several kilometers. The officially naturist beach is two kilometers long and it is in this area that the fully naturist resort of Vera Natura has been built.

Over the years, since its humble origin as a camp site Vera Playa's development has been continuous and the resort is now Europe's second largest and most modern naturist resort.

Vera Natura is just one of twelve urbanisations; a Spanish word that describes communities of privately owned properties that share common facilities such as swimming pools, gardens, maintenance, cleaning etc.

The urbanisations in Vera Playa are served by a large supermarket within a short walking distance and bars that serve good food.

The town of Garrucha is located 2 miles down the beach from Vera Natura and is a nice fishing port, worth a visit if you like fresh fish caught that day.

There are beach bars along the naturist beach most sell food so if you want to continue enjoying the sun and sea view while having a drink and a bite to eat thats easy.
